Position: NOC Engineer – L1

Qualifications:

  • BE /BSc /Diploma engineers with minimum 2 to 4 years of experience and Cisco certified (CCNA/CCNA-Voice)
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting connectivity
  •  Experience with routers, switches and/or unified communications – Cisco
  •  Ideal candidate should have experience in either Routing & Switching or Unified Communications
  •  If experienced in routing and switching the candidate should possess skills in the areas of troubleshooting enterprise networks with the following technologies
    • Routing – Static routes, EIGRP, BGP and OSPF
    • Switching – STP, UDLD, ARP,  VTP,  EtherChannels
    • WAN – MPLS, VPN, P2P circuits and interface related issues such as QoS, errors, discards, etc
  •  If experienced in Unified communications the candidate should possess skills in the areas of troubleshooting enterprise networks with the following technologies
    • Cisco Unified Communications Solutions Versions 7.1 to 11 and CME
    • SIP, H323, MGCP, ICT
    • Experience with Troubleshooting Voice Issues, PRI issues, SIP etc.
  • Provide Level-1 support and troubleshooting to resolve network related issues.
  •  Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  •  Experience in working in a network operations center is preferred.
  •  Knowledge of ITIL practices and process is required
  •  Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills, with a structured approach to problem solving
  •  Effective skills and experience analyzing technology behavior and issue resolution
  •  Liaise with TAC, vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution-ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment that includes a global focus

  • Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Strong technology background is required
  • Aptitude to acquire new technology and concepts quickly
